Set against a black and white palette reminiscent of a dark-superhero comic, this 2d animation follows the story of a young man's encounter in a pub during his service in the US army. In a fleeting moment, he almost shares his number with a lady, but fate intervenes as his buddy becomes entangled in a brawl, leaving the opportunity untaken.
Years later, amidst the dust and chaos of an Iraqi mission to rescue a supply truck, destiny unfolds. Our protagonist discovers that the woman from the pub now commands the very truck he's there to save. A reunion ensues, and a love story unfolds.
This was a collaborative work with Lobo, a great VFX studio in Brazil. With a dedicated team including a director, illustrator, and myself handling animation, camera movements, and composition.
